Perfrez® 9001C Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) Enhanced Heat-Resistant Grade

Perfrez® 9001C heat-resistant grade perfluoroelastomer is formulated by a special polymer compounding process involving large particle size carbon blacks, resulting in a product with superior thermal stability and extended service life under conditions of very high temperatures.

Perfrez® 9001C perfluoroelastomer is a low compression set property enhanced compound with superior thermal resistance that is used extensively for the manufacturing of o-rings, gaskets and seals for use in the chemical and hydrocarbon processing industries where exceptional performance under hostile service conditions is a typical requirement. Perfrez® perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) is formulated using advanced polymer technology to deliver the ultimate sealing solution for applications where a high degree of tolerance to chemical attack and elevated temperature is critical.

Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) Properties

Perfluoroelastomers are enhanced elastomeric compounds which are fully-fluorinated in a process in which hydrogen atoms are substituted by fluorine. Compound properties are dramatically improved because of the extremely strong bond between carbon and fluorine, resulting in a material that is virtually inert and highly stable with superior chemical compatibility and extreme temperature tolerance. Perfluoroelastomer continue to perform in environments where most other polymers suffer degradation.

Perfrez® 9001C (FFKM) delivers all of the superior properties of perfluoroelastomers, with the added advantage of further enhancement using compounding additives, resulting in end-products with extended service life under the most demanding environments.

Not all Perfluoroelastomers are Created Equal

Perfrez® 9001C exhibits lower weight loss, lower compression set, lower volume swell, better thermal and chemical resistance and less degradation than similar perfluoroelastomers compounds that have not undergone properties enhancements. Resistance to fluid and chemical attack, desired physical properties and range of temperature tolerance are engineered characteristics which define the performance of an elastomer. These properties may be unique to individual service conditions and custom-tailored solutions are available for particular applications.

At Gmors®, we use only the highest grade compounding additives such as reinforcing fillers, accelerators, fire retardants, coupling agents, curatives and more, to arrive at your final product.

Consult Our Material Specialists

While perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) may be the solution to your sealing requirements, there is the possibility of over-engineering a seal and incurring unnecessary cost. Material selection varies with each unique application, and seal design engineers must consider factors such as cost efficiency, product versatility and changes in service conditions.
